Collaborative law

Collaborative Law is a process which allows parties to resolve issues following the breakdown of their relationship without difficult and stressful court proceedings. It is different to mediation as both parties lawyers who are collaboratively trained are present.

What is the aim of Collaborative Law?

  • To discuss your situation in a non-threatening, respectful, non-adversarial manner
  • You will be able to make decisions regarding finances, property and child arrangements which are agreed by you both.
  • Collaborative law helps maintain good relationships. This is especially important when children are involved and can speed up the   process, often saving money.
