IT Manager at Quality Solicitors

A new IT Manager role has arisen at QualitySolicitors Head Office. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all internal IT systems within the business, managing the support team, outsourced development resources and the internal development team and managing relationships with internal stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities

• Responsible for setting and managing the IT budget.
• Ensure the on-going operation of all IT systems in the business including but not limited to:
  • Internal servers and networks
  • Data communications
  • Email – Microsoft Exchange
  • Avaya phone system
  • Windows R8 and Linux servers
  • Desktop and laptop computers, Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Mobile phones
• Manage the outsourced development team and internal technical resources providing development and support for:
  • Website Content Management system – developed in IBM Domino
  • Various systems developed in PHP/MySQL
  • Future developments support the Digital and Business strategy
• Responsibility for the reporting systems, MySQL database, and integration of various data sources.

Skills required

• A good understanding of web technology
• A good understanding of Content Management Systems
• Windows servers
• Microsoft Exchange administration
• Networking
• Web based development experience
• Some experience of phone systems, Avaya IP Office preferable
• Exposure to IBM Domino preferable

• Running a development team, both internal and outsourced
• Running a support team
• Managing supplier relationships
