Junior Artworker at Quality Solicitors

Working within our head office marketing department you will join a team responsible for the production of artwork for the QualitySolicitors network of national law firms (known as partner firms).

You will be responsible for managing and actioning the delivery of bespoke artwork requests coming in from partner firms, adhering to technical specifications and brand guidelines. The range of artwork includes (but is not limited to); adverts, posters, outdoor banners, web banners, leaflets and brochures.

Roles and responsibilities

Working closely with the Design Services and Brand Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily inbox of design enquires and assisting with the delivery of these to the agreed SLA’s and deadlines including;

  • Working closely with the Partner Firm Marketing Executive and Design Services and Brand Manager to interpret briefs from partner firms and develop suitable visual solutions. Including reconfiguring and updating existing templates, creating new template artwork for use on a web to print system and turning approved designs into print ready artwork
  • Managing briefs and queries from the Partner Firms including managing their expectations in terms of timings and deliverables
  • Marketing brief review / clarification with firms of requirements,
  • Brief prioritisation
  • Sending artwork to Partner Firms for review and managing amends
  • Brief log management and time recording for reporting
  • Producing high quality work, consistent with the company brand and visual language
  • Proof reading design work before sending on to the partner firm
  • Working with the team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Preparing artwork for print, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Sharing technical knowledge and ideas with the team
  • Other duties required from time to time – including basic retouching in photoshop
  • This is a production role but a creative eye is required.

Skills required

  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design
  • Strong artworking skills, with a good understanding of the print process
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; articulate and diplomatic
  • Highly organised and ability to multi task
  • Ability to prioritise and troubleshoot
  • Ability to work to deadlines and upon multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexible and ability to adapt to change

Educational requirements

  • Relevant degree / HND (desirable)

Experience requirements

Essential:

  • Proof reading experience, a keen eye for quality and attention to detail
  • Telephone handling experience

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a design team
  • Basic knowledge of the UK legal system
  • Account management experience
