I have been employed in various positions in law firms for more than 25 years. Most of my time has been spent looking after clients involved in personal injury accidents but following changes in regulations I decided it was time for a change.
I now divide my working week between two Wirral firms, one of which is QualitySolicitors David Roberts & Co who I work for on a part time basis as a receptionist.
Being the first point of contact for all clients arriving in reception and/or telephoning the firm is obviously vital. A bad first impression takes a lot of work to turn around to a good impression and that impacts on the client and the rest of the firm.
My aim is to be as friendly and approachable as possible whilst making sure that the client gets connected to the best person to assist them as quickly as possible.
My other responsibilities include assisting the property team to process new matters into our systems and archiving matters following their completion.
