QualitySolicitors selected by Nisa as supplier of UK legal services to its members

Nationwide network of high street law firms to provide bespoke legal advice to Nisa membership of 1,300 small business owners with a combined annual turnover of £1.3bn

QualitySolicitors will enter a three month trial to supply professional legal services to Nisa members, the success of which could see it secure a longer term contract for the service.

QualitySolicitors, the leading network of high street law firms, delivering services from 100 locations across the UK, has been awarded the work following a competitive selection process.  From 26 April 2017, the QualitySolicitors nationwide network will provide bespoke legal services to Nisa’s membership of 1,300 small business owners.

Nisa is the UK’s leading member-owned organisation, providing benefits to independent retailers in food & drink markets. The business has an annual turnover of £1.3bn and Nisa members are responsible for approximately 3,000 retail stores. The stores trade either under their own company name or under one of the company brands (Nisa Local, Nisa Extra, Loco).

During the trial Nisa members will have the opportunity to access a QualitySolicitors partner firm local to their area, who will be able to provide advice on areas of law such as employment law and commercial transactions relevant to the successful running of their business.

The trial with QualitySolicitors was agreed as Nisa recognised the similarities in the organisational structure of both companies and the considerable overlap in their respective regional footprints. Most critically, Nisa also recognised the depth and breadth of legal expertise that the QualitySolicitors network can offer its members across the country.

As part of the network’s remit, every Nisa business owner will have access to a dedicated phone service direct to a QualitySolicitors representative. In addition, Nisa members will also be offered ongoing business advice after one-to-one introductory meetings with their local QualitySolicitors firm.

Tim Ollerenshaw, Director from QS Moore & Tibbits, said: “This is really exciting news for both my own legal practice and my QualitySolicitors colleagues across the country.  We are proud to be at the forefront of making legal services more accessible to greater numbers of people. The trial with Nisa proves that the legal professionals working within the QS network are some of the best in the UK.”

Nick Howitt, Network Director of QualitySolicitors, comments: “We are delighted to announce this trial with Nisa, which has a considerable regional footprint and nationwide membership.

“We look forward to working with both Nisa and our network of firms to make this trial a success and to make legal services more accessible to this community of small business owners.”

Rachel Bamforth, head of legal and company secretary for Nisa, comments:“We look forward to working with QualitySolicitors during the trial and are excited to see what benefits the service can bring to our members.”
