The importance of a professionally written Will

Having a professionally written Will is crucial for your peace of mind, as well as for the well-being of your family.

Lately, there have been numerous TV shows highlighting the heartbreaking situations families face when a Will is not properly written, leading to unnecessary complications and Wills that don’t accurately reflect the person's wishes. The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) recently published a report warning about "cowboy" will writers who cause significant distress to bereaved families and sometimes result in millions of extra taxes being paid. Shockingly, out of 2,000 surveyed individuals, 65% of people aged 45-54 do not have a Will in place.

It's not just about your assets; you also need to consider who will take care of your children and/or pets when you pass away. If you have a relative with special needs who is a beneficiary, special consideration should be given to their situation. It's absolutely essential to seek legal advice from an expert who has the knowledge and experience to ensure that your Will reflects your wishes and protects your family.
