I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Court of Protection team, joining Moore & Tibbits in 2021. I studied law at Derby University and completed my LPC at the University of Law (Birmingham) which I studied part time whilst working full time as a Paralegal.
I have over 6 years’ experience as a Paralegal having previously worked on Fraud, POCA and Criminal (large scale drug importation and supply) matters.
Having joined the Court of Protection team at my previous firm in October 2020, I have developed a passion for protecting the interests of young people and adults with learning difficulties as well as vulnerable adults and their families in relation to health and welfare matters.
Working alongside the health and welfare team, I provide support with court applications relating to:
- Where a person should live
- Who they should have contact with
- The care and treatment they should receive
- Consent to marriage and sexual relationships
- Decisions regarding medical treatment.
If you are concerned about a family member or would like more information regarding health and welfare matters in the Court of Protection, please contact me on 01926 354704.
