Isma Ayub

Trainee Solicitor

I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Court of Protection team, having joined in January 2021.   I completed my BA LLB from Keele University and my MA LLM from the University of Leicester and has recently finished studying her LPC at BPP University.

I am passionate about protecting the interests of young people and adults with learning difficulties as well as vulnerable adults and their families in relation to both health and welfare and property and finance matters in the Court of Protection.

Assisting the Court of Protection team, I provide support with court applications relating to:

  • Where a person should live
  • Who they should have contact with
  • The care and treatment they should receive
  • Consent to marriage and sexual relationships
  • Decisions regarding medical treatment

I also contribute to the routine management of deputyship matters for those who lack capacity and monitor income and expenditure for these clients.  Working closely with our clients, their families, support teams and other professionals, I ensure the day to day needs of our clients in relation to their care and treatment are being met and that their wishes and feelings are respected and heard.  As part of my role, I also support our Professional Deputies by ensuring that our vulnerable clients’ needs are being met consistently and sensitively.

If you are concerned about a family member or have any further questions regarding the Court of Protection, please contact me on 01926 354704 or 07534 581522.
