Sarah Hood

Sarah is a Probate Executive with over 20 years’ experience having previously worked for Wright Hassall. 

Sarah joined the Moore & Tibbits team in November 2023 and provides support to the Wills and Probate team on all aspects of probate and estate administration which includes:

• Applying for the Grant of Probate to administering the full estate;
• Dealing with all aspects of an estate from arranging the funeral to liaising with financial institutions, settling debts and distributing the estate to beneficiaries;
• Where there is property involved in an estate, Sarah can support the Executors by arranging for clearance and cleaning of the property, organising estate agent viewings, organising weekly insurance security check visits and liaising with insurance companies in respect of ongoing or new claims;
• Dealing with any tax implications of an estate.  Tax regulations can be complex and it is important to be mindful of accruing interest.  Sarah’s expertise ensures any relevant allowances and transferable allowances are utilised to minimise any inheritance tax that may be owed.  By adhering to deadlines and correctly managing the taxes on an estate can often save clients thousands of pounds.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys reading, music, theatre and running!
