How do I file for divorce in the UK?

You’ll need to pay a £612 fee to apply for a divorce in the UK, and submit the following information:

Your and your spouse’s full name and address
Your original marriage certificate or a certified copy
Proof of your name change if you changed it after you got married

You can apply online or by post by completing a Divorce Application Form D8. Divorce applications can be sole or joint (with your ex-partner).
