Are there any time limits to bringing a professional negligence claim?

It depends on the particular circumstances of your case - in very general terms it is usually six years. Six years from the date of the professional advisor's negligence or the date that you suffered a loss. Time limits get more complicated if you were not aware of the negligence until later – in this situation you are given three years from the date that you found out.
