Can I bring a claim as I was given PIP breast implants?

PIP or Poly Implant Prothese breast implants have been carried out on tens of thousands of women in the UK. Any health problems caused by these rupturing or affecting your health can give rise to a claim for compensation. If the implants have not ruptured you can claim against the clinic or company that fitted your PIP implants – this would be for the distress this has caused you, the costs of further surgery (including having safer implants fitted) and any out of pocket expenses incurred by this further operation.

Our role is to make sure you receive the best legal advice possible – and the very best medical support too. This may need an ultrasound scan to check if the implant has ruptured which will identify if there is a problem - and the best course of action. If removal is the best option, this is part of your claim.

If the surgery was paid using a credit card, we can discuss this as another way of seeking compensation if the clinic does not have the funds or insurance cover to meet the cost of your claim.

And as this is a widespread problem, you need to think about being part of a group action – this is where clinical negligence lawyers across the country work together on behalf of patients like you who been affected by this.
