Apprenticeship route

If university is not for you…

An apprenticeship provides an entry into Law without incurring the fees associated with University. Trailblazer and the City Law School have refined the apprenticeship route by creating a six-year apprenticeship based on blended learning which essentially combines both knowledge and work-based learning to becoming a solicitor. An apprenticeship may be an option for you as it provides an opportunity to enter full time employment immediately after leaving school, as an apprentice you get paid to develop their practical expertise in a law firm whilst receiving qualifications at the same time. The apprenticeship is held out to be equivalent to obtaining a law degree and/or the graduate diploma in law, legal practice course and a training contract. Assessments are comprised of functioning knowledge tests and apprentice(s) are expected to complete the standardised practical legal exam within the last 6 months of their apprenticeship.
