An overview of my responsibilities:

  • Running a case load of employment cases;
  • Attending and assisting with Early Conciliation & Mediation;
  • Attending and assisting with the Tribunal process;
  • Liaising with clients, other parties, Counsel, ACAS and Tribunals


About me:

A local girl, I was the first in my family to go to university. I studied Law at the University of Central Lancashire graduating in the year 2000.

I began my legal career in a high-street practice undertaking general work but soon realised I had a real passion for assisting both employees and businesses with their employment work.

I then moved on to work at a local Racial Equality Council promoting anti-discrimination work in the area before moving on to work at the South Manchester base of trade union solicitors where I undertook a general employment caseload. In 2009 I switched sides, working with businesses in a large employment consultancy handling cases, many of which had very imminent hearings.

I love working in the law and love solving the puzzle that each case brings. I pride myself in my down to earth and pragmatic approach and I aim to deliver the best customer service possible to those I advise achieving the best possible outcome in the circumstances.

I am really excited to join QualitySolicitors Acklam Bond and to have the ability and opportunity to bring my experience back to the people and businesses in my local area.

I advise predominantly on employment law with experience in advising employees, employers and large commercial clients.

I can get to grips with and assess the merits of a case quickly, providing assistance across a broad range of employment issues including unfair dismissals, discrimination, redundancy, breach of contract and wages, to name a few.

I am proficient in preparing the case from inception (be that during early conciliation, drafting the claim or response form or later) through to the hearing often with very limited time available, and enjoy undertaking my own advocacy in the Employment Tribunal.

I am a skilled negotiator who has settled many cases throughout my career always striving to achieve the best outcome for my clients, often during the initial pre-claim Early Conciliation period.
