Amy Fraser

Trainee Solicitor

‘The law is complex and difficult to understand, and I want to be able to explain, communicate and provide clarity to those who may find themselves at a time when they need it the most. When people approach a firm of solicitors they need help, whatever the reason may be. It is our job to help in any way we can to solve the problem presented to us. At Howlett Clarke it's an ethos we promote; to go above and beyond to leave clients feeling that they can trust us and that we care.’

Amy first studied law at A-level and knew from then that one day she would become a lawyer. In 2014, Amy graduated from University of Leicester with a Degree in Law and studied for a year at the National University of Singapore. After completing a Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford while simultaneously obtaining a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice, Amy joined Howlett Clarke as a Paralegal in 2017 and went on to secure a training contract with her first seat in Conveyancing.

As part of the Property team, Amy has worked hard to build her own case load, while gaining valuable experience in more complex transactions. Amy’s role covers all aspects of the property transaction end to end, starting with taking the initial instruction, right through to completion.

Amy has a natural flair for instilling confidence and it’s important to her that her clients feel at ease and not daunted by the process. Buying or selling a property is said to be one of life’s most stressful experiences and Amy is with her clients every step of the way. Her informal but professional approach is to be attentive and full of efficiency, initiative and common sense all of which greatly support getting the job done with as little stress as possible.

At home, Amy can be found watching (and analyzing!) crime documentaries.

It’s no secret that historically the South East of England has boasted some of the country’s most expensive properties. But recent research has shown that perhaps the rest of the country should watch this space, as areas such as Huddersfield and Lincoln appear to be on the rise price wise.

If you are fortunate enough to be receiving money towards the purchase of your property, as a lot of first-time buyers are, it is important that everyone involved in the transaction is aware of the regulations that need to be complied with.
