    Historically farming families are notorious for failing to succession plan, and often the intention and the process by which ownership of the farm moves from generation to generation do not align. It is necessary to discuss, plan and implement whilst managing external forces such as divorce and taxation. A failure to plan can have a powerful detrimental influence on the development of a business and at worst leave the farm lacking a successor.
