What is a ‘Resumed Inquest’?

This is the Inquest Hearing where the Coroner hears all relevant evidence, asks questions of witnesses and ultimately it is where they reach a verdict on the cause of the death.
You don’t need legal representation at an Inquest – it may be you feel able to ask the relevant questions yourself. Our advisors may help you prepare for the Inquest or they can attend with you. In either situation it may be via a Fixed Fee arrangement. What you may require legal advice with is a possible claim for compensation from the person or organisation responsible for the death – this is after any criminal proceedings and the Inquest itself.
