The holidays can be a stressful time anyway, the stakes are high and the pressure is on to deliver the perfect Christmas dinner or that special little present that is just so original! These days most of us are working until a couple of days before hand and then more often than not the few days we have off are spent seeing relatives we haven’t seen since last year and trying to fit it all in before returning to work exhausted!
There is of course another kind of stress, the one in which you put on a face and carry on regardless knowing that next year you have to do something about your marriage because it just isn’t working. Being terrified because you don’t know what that will mean for you and your family and what the future holds. Will the house have to be sold? Will the children have to move schools? Waking in the middle of the night feeling alone and upset. Not daring to do anything this side of Christmas because you don’t want to upset the children.
As a lawyer I have spent many years acquiring information and understanding about just one area, “relationship breakdown and its consequences.”
It is a complicated area and one that a guiding expert hand can make hugely more bearable.
In the new year I will see lots of new clients, it happens every year, and some will come to me because they have just decided that they have had enough and Christmas was the last straw. Others will have been worrying and waiting for a while determined not to spoil Christmas for the kids.
If some information and the advice of an expert about your personal situation with absolutely no need to do anything now might help and stop the stress, why not get in touch so that you are aware of all the options open to you for whenever a decision has to be made.
We offer a unique Ask the Legal Expert service, designed to give you peace of mind through expert legal advice at an affordable price, to help you decide on the best way forward for you.
