A busy month for the Howlett Clarke team!

August and September were super busy in terms of networking events with members of the Howlett Clarke team present at Juice breakfast, three or four Chambers events (including a gin tasting!), First Friday & Third Friday gatherings, The Brighton Business Curry Club, a Law Society's Civil Litigation Conference and of course the Business Women Excellence Awards, where we have been shortlisted as semi-finalists for not just one award but two!

Our Marketing team Rosie and Tammy went to the Juice breakfast with trainee solicitor Oliver which was at the Amex stadium on Friday 16th September with lots of familiar faces. During our lovely breakfast we had several guest speakers, starting off with Rowena and Rose from South East Dance, who raised awareness about their amazing charity and its future plans. To find out more about what they do please follow the link here.  Next up was Kathy from the Amex who spoke about events at Brighton’s community stadium. Finally Gerry Thompson gave top 10 tips for presenting in business.

Our mediation expert Richard attended the Law Society's Civil Litigation Conference on Thursday 29th September and shared the stage with Lord Justice Briggs. The conference’s main point of discussion stemmed from what the Ministry of Justice has in store for the civil courts system in the near future.

Following the exciting news of being shortlisted for the Women in Business Awards, the marketing girls and solicitor Jade went to the semi-finalist event on Wednesday 28th September, where we announced as semi-finalists for, not only the Medium Sized Business Award, but also Business Woman of the Year for Jackie our Managing Partner. We are absolutely thrilled about this news and cannot wait for the Gala event in November!
