On Saturday 19th September the Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walk came to Tyneside.
Jane Hucknall has a close relationship with both the Alzheimer’s Society and Age UK so we could not wait for Team Brennans to put on their walking boots and participate in this years walk along the beautiful Quayside.
Jessica, Jane, Brenda, Julie and Mark walked along the 8km route from Baltic Square, Newcastle over the iconic Millenium Bridge and along the Quayside river pathways to raise money for those suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer’s across the UK.
On top of donations, we hope to continue to raise money and awareness at the Brennans office. To mark the team’s involvement, Brennans will be holding a Memory Month throughout September, where all clients setting up a Lasting Powers of Attorney at our new fixed price of £299 per LPA will see a donation of £50 made to the Alzheimer’s Society by Brennans on their behalf.
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
You can still donate at https://www.justgiving.com/MW15juliesimpson any donation would be greatly appreciated by the charity.
We will update the page with our total donations once we have combined all of our sponserships together.
