January – It’s that time of year where you are supposed to feel motivated to create a new and better you!

So, what better reason than to take on a new challenge, in aid of QualitySolicitors charitable partner Barnardo’s.

Raising sponsorship has never been easier via the JustGiving page:

Roberto Carassale, Managing Director, states why QS Acklam Bond got involved :-

"QualitySolicitors Acklam Bond is proud to have supported Barnardo’s over the years via the QS network.  When we first heard of the 150 year anniversary and the bucket challenge we realised that we wanted to do something extra special in order to help raise funds for the wonderful work that Barnardo’s carries out.

The 150 year anniversary also coincided with our firm’s 25 years of a successful business partnership and therefore the bucket challenge list was also an ideal opportunity to raise the profile of the firm and to do something together as a team.

We therefore decided to undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge for the Bucket Challenge.  We are really proud of everyone that took part – all ages and abilities from the firm gave it a go!  A number of staff who were not walking came along to support the walkers and it was extremely uplifting to see them at the end of each Peak providing support and at the end of the challenge.  A well-deserved drink was had by all in the local pub.  On the second occasion we carried out the walk we were joined by Sallie Winterbottom from Barnardo’s and it was great to hear of the work that Barnardo’s carries out whilst we did the walk.

The sense of achievement at the end of each walk was fantastic and not only did we enjoy ourselves and bond as a firm but we also raised a fantastic amount of money in the process.

We received a great response from the local press and both the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge and our 25 year anniversary were covered by the local press.

Undergoing a bucket challenge is a fantastic way of doing something together as a firm whilst raising money for a great cause.

As for 2018 – watch this space as we are already talking of some new bucket challenges!"
