John Brewins Retires After 44 Years’ Service

Staff at QualitySolicitors Howlett Clarke bade a fond farewell to veteran Brighton solicitor John Brewins who retired yesterday. John served the local community for 44 years, joining Howlett Clarke in 2003 upon their merger with Aldrich Crowther and Wood.

As a private client lawyer, John has advised countless families in Brighton and the surrounding area. He will be missed by colleagues and clients alike.

Clients praised John for his “consideration, professionalism and calm approach” and called him “courteous and efficient”, “warm, friendly and most of all very understanding”.

The firm threw a farewell party for John at Brighton’s iconic i360 on 22 March. Champagne flowed and speeches were made following a ride up the world’s tallest moving observation tower.

Managing Partner of Howlett Clarke, Jackie Gillespie, said “John has had a career to be proud of. He has been an asset to this firm for the last 35 years and we are very sorry to see him go, but we all wish him a very happy retirement. He deserves it.”
